In Spring 2009, Library Committee completed the second of a two-year project to assess library and related capabilities and requirements now and in future. Reports of our findings can be found in the Library Committee archive in the column at right.

The Gallery and Library committees were absorbed by a single Gallery-Library Committee effective Fall 2009 (approved by Faculty Meeting in May 2009). The committee is currently working to (1) define its new mission relative to the Library and Gallery; (2) identify areas of common opportunity; (3) develop ideas/objectives with near and longer-term horizons, including the Montserrat Shared Resources Initiative.

The purposes of the Gallery and Library committees, that as of Fall 2009 are combined in this new Gallery-Library committee, are, respectively to advise the gallery director on policies for the gallery and to assist in relating the gallery program to the mission of the college, and to advise the librarian on actions and policies for the library.
