Samplin' Dat Artistic Buffet This semester I have continued my work to show the talents and lifestyles of a group of young artists through a new publication named Copy. The magazine Copy will be produced to display past and current works of these artists. This publication will not be limited to artists in the Boston area or people of one particular concentration. I am in search of those artist who show they are hungry [for success], go-getters, willing to push themselves to the limits of explosion, and ultimately just love what they do. Beginning with the premiere issue, Copy will expose these few to the public and bring the attention they deserve. Through interviews, attendance at events, and inclusion of their work in thesis shows, I have entered these artists' lives and began to gain a sense of who they are. My hope is to give each artist's printed pages that same thrill and excitement I have gained while entering their world. The publication will be printed and bound using the facilities available at Montserrat College of Art for the first and second issue. Each issue that follows will be sent to a printer for full four color output. The dimensions for Copy are 5x6.5. This size will allow for easy carrying and it will help to separate the overall feel of this magazine against other publications currently on the shelves. |
