This poster was inspired by the art of Jan Lenica, a well known polish poster designer. Lenica did a series of poster designs for opera, music and movies. His technique was simplistic where he used schemes of similar colors and abstact shapes. My poster design was based on Lenica's designs from the seventies. I picked a well known jazz artist, Miles Davis, and used a variety of Lenica's aesthetics and incorporated it into my own design. My poster advertises a performance that Davis did in the late seventies at the Fillmore. Sheri Marcotti
