Farm Machinery
second of two semesters

I will create a graphic narrative using book structure, with content that revolves around a farm house set in the 1930's and 1940's. The farm revolves around the hard working farm equipment, that work day in and day out to get the crops cut and the hay baled.

The lay out of the book will be viewed through the eyes of the farmer or farm hand. The reader will see what they see as they look around and move through the farm. It will be viewed at a type of landscape view of the farm house. The landscape will run continually, the story will partly be told by the changing imagery to help to create the narrative. The imagery will be defined by the farm house and the land that surrounds it.

The imagery may not be seen as totally literal but seen as more abstract, because the narrative and book is a progression of time on the farm. While on the farm and doing many chores their may be mix ups of what and when things were accomplished and that could lead to a more abstract view of time and work.
