Three poems

Sometimes
Sometimes
The best chocolate is bitter
The most useful blade Sharp
Restful sleep only occurs
When it's dark
Sometimes
Logic has no reason
The negative's
Good
There is an awkward balance
That makes life understood.

Ghostly nightstalker
What a clever cat
Dressed in white as night falls
Safe in the darkness

Processional hymn
Church hymns run through my mind
like Shakespeare,
The syncopated rhythm divine,
Such beautiful language discourses;
To thou, to thee, to thine,
A melody uplifting,
Performed in double time,
Through impassioned sentiment sifting,
A thoroughly ancient rhyme.
