Old man
What has happened to you?
Skin once tight
Now hanging loose
Distinguished marks lost
Skin stretched
Over old bones
Cold hands and bulbous
Bulging veins
Looking as though
They might burst
Hair once brown
Now fraying white
Falling out
Sparsely place all over
The liver-spotted head
Eyes once bright
Now fading
With age and clouded
With pain
From old creaking bones
That ache
In their thinning joints
Old porous bones
That break at a touch
You grin at me
Through your cigarette teeth
All I wonder is
Old man
What has happened to you?
